沈阳市与巴基斯坦卡拉奇市结为友好城市｜A new friendship city of Shenyang_沈阳发布_新闻中心

12月9日，“2021中国巴基斯坦友好省市合作论坛”举行。会上，沈阳市与巴基斯坦卡拉奇市，通过视频方式签署了建立友好城市关系协议书。

On December 9, the "2021 Forum on Cooperation between China and Pakistan Friendship Provinces and Cities" was held.

At the forum, Shenyang City and Karachi City of Pakistan signed the agreement on the establishment of friendship city relationship through video link.

卡拉奇市是巴基斯坦第一大城市，也被称为巴基斯坦的“经济首都”，是“一带一路”沿线的重要节点城市。

Karachi is the largest city in Pakistan and is also known as Pakistan's "economic capital". It is an important node city along the "Belt and Road".

自2018年8月两市建立友好合作城市关系以来，双方在经贸、旅游、教育、公共交通等领域互动频繁，取得了积极的合作成果。

Since the establishment of a friendly and cooperative city relationship between the two cities in August of 2018, the two cities have frequently interacted in economy and trade, tourism, education, public transportation and other fields, and have achieved positive cooperation results.

2018年12月，沈阳市代表团访问卡拉奇市，参加了巴基斯坦建筑材料和建筑机械展会，推动了沈阳五爱集团日用品贸易等一批经贸合作项目。北方重工在卡拉奇承包的码头输送系统项目顺利完成一期工程，二期工程将于明年年初启动。

In December of 2018, the Shenyang City delegation visited Karachi, participated in the BUILD ASIA, and promoted a number of economic and trade cooperation projects such as the daily necessities trade of Shenyang Wuai Industry Group. The first phase of the terminal transportation system project contracted in Karachi by Northern Heavy Industries Group Co.,Ltd. has been successfully completed. The second phase of the project will start early next year.

全球新冠肺炎疫情暴发后，双方积极分享抗疫经验、援赠物资，展现了患难相知的情谊。

Since the global outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the two cities actively shared their anti-epidemic experience and donated supplies, demonstrating the friendship in adversity.

沈阳市与卡拉奇市建立友好城市关系，共同开启了携手并进、合作共赢的新篇章，必将进一步拓展双方多领域合作，切实造福两市人民，为深化中巴“铁杆”情谊作出积极贡献。

The establishment of friendship city relationship between Shenyang and Karachi jointly opens a new chapter of hand-in-hand and win-win cooperation.

It will further expand the two cities' cooperation in multiple fields, effectively benefit the people of the two cities, and make positive contributions to deepening the unbreakable friendship between China and Pakistan.
